Being in the last few days of school the amount of pressure increases because everyone wants to do well on there finals. Just relax and make sure that you take breaks in between your studying otherwise you will hurt yourself mentally

Getting toward the end of school many students wonder what is up ahead for them. Some might be a summer full of partying and for some it will be a summer of just working. I prefer the first one but I need to get a job. I got a job as a camp counselor for a couple of months in Maine. It is going to be a unique oppurtunity that Im looking forward too.

Class

Every day you have if going to class and I wonder how benefial it would be if there were only classes. It would make a student have to sit down and read and do research. I think that many classes will be online in the near futures where the students have to attend an online lecture where they can answer questions and communicate with other students. Would this be better than struggling going to class? I know some people that have a problem with making it to class on a daily basis and unless they are really smart it would be hard to pass.

With everyday passing I realize the importance of information that is sent over. Myself using email, my cell phone, my ipod, text messaging, and watching tv, I wonder the amazing breakthroughs that our society has made in the past decade. The Masters

Today was the kickoff of the 70th masters tournament. This event is one of the most elite tournaments in golf. Technology gives people the oppurtunity to watch it where ever which is interesting. I could go onto espn.com and watch current live coverage of the Masters tournament with the sports comentators comments

With the new ipods, I think they are really neat but I question how to work them fully. I have one that you can put pictures on but unsure how to put them on. If anyone has a clue let me know. These things are neat. What else can apple make that will be as profitable as the ipod or the mini.

March Madness

One thing that really interests me is the NCAA Men's Tournament. Last night was a bad night for many people because Duke University lost and they were one of the main powerhouse schools. I was happy when they lost because now this tournament is going to open up and be very interesting. Thats why they call it march madness. Go UCLA!! All the way!!

Finale of Spring Break

Well my spring break is almost over, but I have to be happy because I have a longer spring break than other people. Mine was 12 days long which was nice. Over this break, I have had the oppurtunity to visit many places like arizona and mexico and the university of arizona. It has been a good trip and I have had the chance to think about how I want to pursue my education career at IU. I think that I am going to take a new chance and explore the oppurtunities that this new university will offer me.

Gambling

Gambling is as addictive as a drug because once you start it is hard to stop. I know people that have trouble with gambling, and college people are more prone to it because for many this is the first time they have been away from their parents supervision

University of Arizona

Going to the University of Arizona was quite interesting today becuase I was able to see a different culture and how they live their day by day life. I learned that many people at the university do not use laptops because of the over abundance of computers offered on the campus locations. That was ones opinion, and i have to disagree with that but it might be true.

March Madness

Many of the people I know support the Indiana Hoosiers because we are from Indiana. That is a good reason and I think another reason is that we go to that school, but I was thinking what is the reason that people like certain sports teams. Demographics or just for the love of the game, i really do not know why people follow teams. Many people follow certain teams because they are always good!

Portablilty of Laptops

Laptops are amazing and I love them a lot because right now Im sitting on a couch listening to music and playing online poker. I think these are amazing because i dont have to sit at a desk to work on my homework and chat with my friends. How can laptops improve? Speed is one thing that I can think of and another would be the functions. Any other ideas?

Bird Flu

Watching the news today the pandemic of the bird flu came up again, this will be a huge problem for many industries like Tyson and KFC and other businesses. Their business can take a huge hit if this bird flu makes it to the US because many of the business can be hurt by word of mouth. Meaning if one person believes that the chickens or turkeys are being hurt, they can just tell their friends and their friends will tell their friends and so on.

Today I bought myself an Ipod. They have the main electronic device for kids today to have and they are worth it. I can put 7500 songs onto it, pictures, and movies. That is awesome because now there is something else that can pull my attention away from things. I believe that ipod will be getting cheaper within the next couple of years and come down from price of 300 dollars probably to about 150 dollars because of mass production and the high demand of them.

NCAA Tourney

One thing that interests me is the NCAA mens tournament. I love March Madness because it is so much fun watching and picking out the teams that you think can win it all. It is put on all sports tv stations because the audience for these games are tremendous. I believe that millions upon millions watch this tournament daily, because it gives something cool to talk about at school and even at work. I know people that have pools at their works for money for the person that accumulates the most amount of points

Casinos

Today I went to a casino and gambling. I thought it was cool when I put in 3 credits and I won 546 credits. That was really awesome that I won that because it was in quarter slots. Gambling underage was fun because I saw a bunch of old people losing their money, and then there comes me who is underage and wins money because it has to be agraviting. But it was enjoyable, but winning money always is.

Arizona

Tucson Arizona is in the top 10 of city with the most uses of technology. According to the Arizona Sun Times, that is true. I would have never thought of that to be true because I have been here many times and all the times I see places that I dont see much technology. Additionally, most of the residents of Tucson seem to be older individuals, and I believe that many of them do not know much about the current technology and their advances.

Spring Break

Today, I went to Mexico. Currently, Im in Arizona about 35 minutes from the border of Mexico. Interesting what you see down in Mexico. I have been there many times and very new time its really interesting and I learn something new. One thing that I have learned was that you can buy alcohol and tobacco products and bring them to the United States, but the thing is that you can only buy one of each every thirty days. I thought that was interesting because I was lead to believe that you could never import stuff tobacco products into the United States.

Airplanes

Today I learned something new about technology. Tommorrow morning I will be flying out to Arizona and I did everything over the internet. Even today I was able to print off my boarding pass for my trip. Now I do not have to stand in a long line and wait instead I can straight to whereever I need to go.

The following was a passage that I took from an article becuase of the significant it had to our class. Recently we discussed how RFID chips are dangerous because people can recieve information but now its scarier than ever because if they put those chips in the new e-passorts people can get all of our information.

The U.S. State Department has begun issuing passports with embedded RFID chips containing biometric data to U.S. diplomats, and will begin issuing them to all U.S. citizens by the end of 2006.

The RFID chips in the new new “e-passports” contain a digital image of the traveler, as well as the person’s name, date and place of birth, gender, passport number and dates of passport issuance and expiration.

While the RFID chips are encrypted, privacy advocates are concerned that the encryption may be weak, and that criminals could read the passports from several feet away. The passports contain an anti-skimming device which, in theory, protects the RFID chip from being read while the passport is closed, but when the passport is open, it’s open season on your data, say those concerned about the technology.

Being a fraternity, I realized that wireless routers are essential. Currently, I am sitting on a couch in a formal area studying and doing research. Im not connected with any wires or anything. All the people around me are using wireless and it has not been that long since it has come out. And soon there will be a lot of stuff that normally required wires having the ability and capabilities to use no wires.

IPODS

Todays Ipods are really advanced. It went from playing just songs, to having the capibality of holding pictures of your friends to playing your favorite television shows. And this is all done on a little disk. How is that possible? Todays technology is so complex and I wish I had a better understanding how it is possible for that to happen? What is next you have to ask? You have access the internet on your phone or even in the middle of a field. The ipods probably will soon have access to the internet or something wacky like that. Where does it end? I honestly dont think that with todays technology everything will be changing from the usual.

Today is such a beautiful day outside and you can see everything in sight. You can see the television studio to the business school. But i was in Canada this past weekend and across from my hotel was Detroit, Michigan. It was so neat because I could see the hole city at night when it was all bright and it was neat. Everything was running and I wanted to go across the river and see the technology. But in Canada the technology is used just like it is used in Bloomington Indiana which when you go to another country you think that everything is different, but in actuality it is not much different.

Flatscreen Monitors

Todays computers monitors have evolved from the big bulky kind to the kind that I currently use. The flatscreen monitors are really nice becuase I can put it on the wall or anywhere. They are so portable. Soon computers will be really small.

Superbowl 2006

During the Superbowl, the main emphasis was on the commercials, for myself. The football was not that interesting, but the commercials is one thing that many people want to sit down and watch each year. This year the commercials were medicore. Nothing great, but there were a couple that were funny and interesting. It is neat how much money people spend on such things.

The XBOX 360 game system is amazing. I played it the other day and the grafics are too real for the younger audience. It is to graphic. It might be detrimental to younger people because of the games that show violence and how real it is.

The ipods are usually like around 300 dollars...is it possible to get the microchip that is inside of it made cheaper with the same capabilities. Ipods are the future of stationary music. No more CD's instead you can just download your music to an ipod and go from there.

Today I have used a lot of technology. I was reading about the RFID tags and realized that I have a lot of information that is in my wallet. My ID's and cards. Do any of you guys or girls have one of the mp3 cell phones. Those things are amazing. I have an ipod too, but with this you can listen to your music and when your getting a call it stops the music. Its neat.
